I love my guy very much and would love to enjoy the rest of my life with him... but even though we are saying we're engaged now.. I don't really care about getting the legal papers done personally. He wants to though, so I told him I will, just not any time within the next 2 years. I've only been with him for 4 years, you guys have been together 11 years. That shows there must be commitment.. maybe he just doesn't like the whole finality of the idea of marriage and is just happy to leave things as they are. I wish common law marriages were common these days.. then you don't have to worry about it after a while..lol

I'd say if you really really want to get legally married, ask him why he has not wanted to do it. But if your lives are good as they are, why push the marriage?

Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear.. I do tend to feel and think differently (sometimes at the same time.. hmm..) than some people. I think he loves you otherwise he wouldn't have been with you this far.
