I have to agree with prorigger21. I don't think "Safe Asphyxiation" exists in the real world. When the blood pH is screwed up, there's no guarantee you will start breathing once the pressure is released.

I guess only you can decide if this thrill is worth the risk of death. One of my friends wanted me to go skydiving with him. I decided I wouldn't mind someone telling my kid "Your dad died saving someone from a fire" or "your dad died in a war." I don't want them saying "He went for one thrill too many."

One thing that really concerns me is when I see people talking about activities as if there is no risk to them. If you educate yourself on the risks and then you decide to proceed, that's your business. Only you can decide what degree of risk you're willing to take.

I do agree with ProRigger21: I suspect the death rate from this activity is higher than reported because of families covering up the actual circumstances of death.
