As usual, K is right on target. I agree with her assessment. An issue that was never talked through destroyed my last relationship. You two need to talk about this until you're bored with it and everyone has all their questions answered. Unresolved issues are the great destroyer of relationships. I learned that one the hard way.
You don't say what the nature of his relationship with his ex-girlfriend is. Do you think he is deceiving you about what is going on between them? If so, that's a whole different conversation.
