It's a very sensitive area with loads of nerve endings just waiting to be stimulated. Once inside, your partner can apply pressure to your prostate. Some men have had orgasms just from this and I've heard they're wonderful. Anal sex can be fantastic as long as you follow a few simple rules.
1. Lubricate - the skin is very sensitive and can suffer little tears and abrasions quite easily. Use lots and lots of lube, preferably a thicker variety that doesn't evaporate so quickly.
2. Relax - it won't be any fun if you're all clenched up expecting it to hurt. Start with a smaller dildo or even just fingers (wear gloves) and graduate sizes from there.
3. Communicate - let your partner know what feels good. Anal sex shouldn't hurt. If it does, tell your partner to back off.
