That does seem pretty strange, and really your GYN seems to have the only logical explanation. Have you used extra lubrication? I mean, sure, we lubricate ourselves, but maybe your skins so sensitive it needs twice as much?
Also, maybe your skin is dry? Try a lower pH soap and a vagina-friendly lotion after showering to keep your skin from drying out.
Also, try different positions and roughness. Perhaps your going at it too rough and in a position that rubs against a bad spot?

That's all I can think of at the moment. I'll see if I can find anything else.
