Question Everything...
Our motto is to question everything and that seems to be what you're doing. I'm impressed by the amount of thought that you've put into this topic.
We all have to make our decisions about what is right and wrong for us personally. Listen to what others are telling you and recognize that they do have a few more years of life experience and may have something to offer - but ultimately your decisions and the subsequent consequences of any actions that you take based on those decisions are yours and yours alone.
While we don't feel that there's anything wrong with watching porn, the concern is that people do get addicted to porn - just as they get addicted to their favorite nightly sitcom or drama show. Television/Movies are highly addictive. Here's something that you may not have thought about...
When you watch TV, your brain quickly goes into a hypnotic state and you become VERY suggestive to what you see on television. That's why the big companies pay so much to advertise on television - everyone who is watching is in a highly suggestive hypnotic state.
This also applies to porn. If you watch a lot of porn you may start to think and feel that this is how sex should be between couples - and it's not. This is not how sex really is anymore than action movies represent real life. Porn is FANTASY sex. Don't forget that. Romantic, passionate sex between two people who love each other is rarely like what you see in porn movies.
If you are going to watch a lot of porn, be very careful not to carry that over into your first and subsequent sexual encounters of your life.
The other concern that I have is whether or not you're 'addicted' to it. Is it something you 'need' to do? Is it something that you do unconsciously and don't know why? If either of these are true, then you should be concerned.
Make sure that if you choose to watch porn that it's a conscious decision and that it doesn't keep you from living a normal, healthy 'real' life.
Hope this helps! Great questions by the way!
