First, a note on these friends of yours. They're not the ones that are dating you or your bf so they're not gonna know how it is between you and your bf (or ex-bf). You also said your friends aren't listening to you so you're already out with that avenue for help.
Secondly, I think it's good you decided to go on the boat trip. You've already said that you're not really in love with him so I don't see how your relationship can continue with him. But don't just kick him to the curb though. He doesn't sound like a bad guy, it's just that you're not attracted to him.
