How old are your kids? They will hurt whatever age they are, and so will your wife.
But if they are old enough (like independent age) your wife can't loot your pockets as much with parrot & cutlass (and lawyer).
Now you say your relationship with your wife lacks romance and she "chooses" it that way. Well you can't put the blame all on your wife... I used to sell kitchens & customers used to "choose" to buy them off me... you understand what I mean? (there are certain things you can do to make her "choose" to be romantic).
And before getting your hopes up have you got confirmation she'll ditch her family to be with you?
And will you definitely live together with your ex? it won't be another long distance relationship right?
How do you feel about waiting a few more years?
