He should be mad about you keeping that information from him. Not only did you lie when he asked you specifically, later you tried to hurt him while you two were in an argument by using that as leverage. My guess is you succeeded. You hurt him.
Do you just want to ask "who is right, who wins", or do you want to know how to get back together?
