All decent advise so far but, being a guy I'll help you out (the best I can). Being shy is not a problem that's your personality, and there WILL be a guy who will like you for that or think it's cute, so don't worry much about that. That set aside, we will move onto oblivious lol. Now I really (honestly) can't tell you how to tell if EVERY guy likes you but there are some good signs.
#1- First and most important (my opinion), He will single you out. By that I mean if you are standing around a bunch of people and you are the first one he says anything to or he tends to talk to you longer there's a good chance hes comfortable with you.
#2 He will look you in the face when he talks to you.
#3 Body language- Its human nature (uncontrollable) that if you like something you want to get close to it, also, when he talks to you watch his eyes again if you like something you are looking at your pupils will dilate a little more than normal, trying to see it "closer" I guess you could say, so watch for that.
#4 Touch. If he touches you a lot but like little things like gives you a little "punch" to the arm or pushes you around in a joking manner (use common sense here, tripping you and pushing you into walls and laughing about it is not the same! lol) you know little touchy things like that are a good sign and last but not least
#5 this one isn't a "sign" per say but its kind of a neat thing. Talk to your target guy about liking a guy but "you don't know how to tell." Ask him (like you would a friend) how "do I know..."
#5.1 Watch for him to look upset that its not him in other words watch for his general demeanor to change.
#5.2 He will tell you things HE would do and therefore you will be able to watch for them!
Really just jump out there and do it once. Ask a guy out and get turned down... In fact, ask a guy out you think you would never be able to get with, and expect to get turned down. You may find its not that bad and eventually things will get easier for you! I hope this help at least a little.... Good luck! Ohh wait I forgot #6 Smile....
