And the correct term is whatever she calls herself, if she says shemale it's fine, though many prefer to use this term for adult entertainers, the more common term would be pre-operative transsexual, or transsexual woman, whatever ( as your friend ) makes her the most comfortable. The most important thing though is open communication, in this case your husband communicating with himself about what he really wants, is really curious about, etc.
