meeting her for the first time and im so scared!!

Hi all

I met this wonderful girl on an Internet dating site about two and a half months ago. It started of with emailing each other every day about our lives and what we like to do ..it turned out that we had a lot in common and hit it off straight away.Then we moved on to instant messenger and then eventually moved on to phone calls..The first time i heard her voice will be a day i will never forget..so soft and well spoken..it really did melt my heart.

Since then we have talked on the phone everyday sometimes up to 4 hours at a time .. and the more we talked the more i started to get real feelings of love for her and she has told me the same too that she felt that she was falling in love with me.
I really cant get this girl out of my head, i think of her all the time and wished that we were together.

well, this weekend i will be meeting her for the first time and im so scared..i really do feel that i have fallen for this girl and im afraid of rejection and that my heart may get broken again..i don't think i can go through that again. but i know that she feels the same way about me and that she will be just as scared as i am..
In some ways i wish we had met when we first started talking as at that point my feelings for her were not as strong as they are now.

im not after a one night stand , i want a relationship and so does she. we have both talked about settling down and having a life together..i cant stress enough that we both love and care for each other and i know that sounds crazy but its true . i just hope that these feeling still remain after this weekend. i really dont want to loose her.

any advice on how to handle this weekend would be great. i dont even know what we are gonna do? so any ideas where i can take her would also be great, but also bear in mind that i know everything about her and she knows everything about me so i want to avoid those orcward silences..so i want to do something fun and to keep the conversation flowing.

The problem I've always had with this type of online dating, is that the two parties spend an incredible amount of time building an online relationship before they even meet in real life. Sometimes this causes problems because people build up certain expectations of the other person that might not exist in the real world, thus leading one or both parties to disappointment.

So, my advice would be to let go of your expectations and treat the date as if you barely know her. As far as conversation goes, you'll have to come up with interesting topics to talk about that don't involve your personal histories (which you've likely already revealed to her).

Also, stop thinking about the whole "spending your life together" stuff. You both are planning wayyyy to far ahead before even meeting each other. I'm not saying it won't turn into love but you should be careful to distinguish between the "virtual" world and the "real" world.
