Eye contact is critical! gazes that seem to last forever will make the girl melt everytime. This intensity will make everyone else in the room seem to disappear, and you'll only noticed each other. Even if you are shy, it cannot hurt to look at the person, in fact being caught checking someone out or meeting their eyes can often lead to better things!

yes it is very important. Your confidence is gaged by the girl when you look at her. If you look her in the eyes when you see her across the room and quickly look away she will know you have low confidence. If you have trouble maintaining eye contact with women on the first glance try out this simple exercise.

Walk around all day trying to catch the gaze of women. When you do get one to look at you look her in the eyes until SHE breaks eye contact. Fight the urge to look away and hold eye contact till she looks away. Once she looks away you can look away. Don't want her walking over to the police thinking you are a stalker.

Continue this exercise till you become comfortable holding eye contact.
