How to close a date?

I'm baffled! The last couple of months I wanted to start dating etc, but don't have much confidence in asking someone out. I've had three girls initiate and expess interest in going out but never close the deal. The last one really bothers me. So here is the story and I'll try to make it short.
One of my relatives co-workers wanted to date me last year. My head wasn't right and thought I should get over some personal problems before I dated someone(especially with a relatives friend). After a couple of months my problem were solved and asked if she was still interested but she just started dating somone else, which is certainly understandable,but always felt bad about and mad as I lost a great opportunity.
Well about three weeks ago she met a girlfriend of mine and said she was single again and asked if I was available and said she would love to go out with me. Everyone started trying to hook us up and her co-worker told me to call her, as she was waiting for my call, she gave me her number and I left.
I calledher that night after about 10 attempts I finally went thru with it and got in touch, Asked if shed like togo out sometime and she said sure but this week is a bad weekfor her as her kids were getting ready for school etc.. and said she should perhaps give me a call when a good time to get out might be. I said sure as I understand she is a busy person. That was two weeks ago and haven't heard a thing since.
After a week went by I asked my girlfrienda bout her encounter with her, and asked if she is sure she read it right that night and she saidthere was no doubt that she WAS interested to her. But after a week I knew she wasn't gonna callback. She sure does't seem to excited.
Thiswas the third girl in a row that has wanted to go out with me, then flacked out for whatever reason. Am I doing something wrong? What would be the motives for these actions. Do they just want to see if I'd date them to reject me?

I think you are just lucking out. There doesn't seem to be anything you could really change.

One of the main reason would be your not meant to date each other, or
you are asking for an opportunity at the wrong time. Don't lose hope there
are still so many girls out there but make sure that by the time comes
a girl will enter your life grab that opportunity and hold on as you can.
Anyways if you love to have fun there are so many online dating sites on the net why don't you try one who knows maybe you'll meet the girl of your dreams
