Single and not really happy about it...

My 15th birthday is coming up in less than two months. I know I'm young, but I've never had a real boyfriend, even though I'm friendly to guys and talk to them. I don't really think I'm ugly, and I'm not just being over self-confident. I do, however, think that my appearance has something to do with it. I'm really short; 4'10" or something like that. But I'm also older than most guys in my grade level, due to the extra year of pre-K my mom wanted me to have so I would be "ahead" of everyone else in the class.

I'm doing everything that I can to try to get a certain guy to ask me out. We already have a lot in common and can keep a conversation going, and it might be a possibility that he likes me back, but if he did, he would ask me out, right? I have to admit that I'm not in the "popular crowd" at school, and he is. A lot of people say that I'm just too nice to people because I make friends with those who don't really have many. I like my personality and I'm not going to give up my friends to impress, but do you have any advice that I might be able to use to impress the guy(s)?

Some guys are shy, and to be very honest, it's often hard to tell if a girl really likes us. It can be aggravating because as the males we are expected to do the hunter i.e. do the asking out... for this reason, it can be an extremely endearing attribute to ask him out yourself, directly. I'm sure, if he even has the slightest degree of attraction to you, that he'll say yes.

Another rule to go by, if you do, is that just because he says no, it doesn't mean it's a personal matter. And even if it is... even if he thinks you're the ugliest human on earth, so what? There are 6.6 billion humans on earth, let's just assume half of em are men, that's a HUGE sea of people, so if one gets away, go for another one.

I'm positive that to every single person on earth, there's at least one other human who is/would be attracted to them, but you'll never know who if you don't go fishing.
