Hi i'm 14 years old and i like a girl in my school but i don't know how to ask her out ?

She is the most popular girl in school. I'm not even sure whether she knows me or not (there is a huge chance that she does know me). I'm really shy and I think so is she. I'm 1 year senior from her in school. I've actually liked the girl ever since i saw her and i haven't told anyone about it except my best friend (he is a guy). I'm afraid of telling her about my feelings because i'm afraid she might refuse and the whole school might get to know about my feelings for her. Every guy in our school wants to be with her. We don't have anything in common. I want to ask her out but I also don't want to be humiliated in front of the entire school and she is hardly ever alone. Her best friend is always with her (she is a girl). I'm also not much of talker.
So please help me tell me what to do. I haven't asked any girl out ever in my life. I am confident in school no one messes with me but around girls I'm not.Please help me.

im suffering with the same problem....only this girl is dating a senior of 12th grade and both of us are in 9th grade...
some tips have helped me alot to develop a bond maye they will help you to-
1) try and find something common that you share
2) be confident of yourself when you approach her
3) you should stand tall but you shoulders should be at rest
4) try talking to her friend to leave you both alone for some time
