Okay.
So I'm a 16 year old male and I'm gay and all my friends seem to call me a whore but I don't really see it.

You've not provided much information for us. Are you worried about this? If you are feeling too promiscuous then maybe you need to slow it down a bit.

So you're 16. How many sex partners have you had? Are you quick to have sex with someone you don't really know? Have you ever had a sexual encounter with someone whose name you didn't know? Do you always use a condom?

Technically, a whore is someone who accepts money or gifts in return for sexual favors. I'm assuming this is not the case with you and that what they really mean is the male equivalent of a "slut" or someone who has sex with many partners without much hesitation.

No one here is going to call you a "whore" or suggest that you are. But if you're engaging in frequent casual encounters or failing to use proper protection then you are in danger of being hurt - physically or emotionally - or of contracting an STD.

Great answer, ScarBowl. Being sexually responsible means looking at the risks associated with the behavior you're engaging in. No one is going to judge you for behaviors you engage in of your own free will, so long as you respect the wishes and rights of others. The word "whore" has lost it's original meaning and is now just a verbal weapon used to hurt. I agree with Scarbowl that you need to reframe it to "Is this behavior safe and healthy for me?"

Well I've had roughly over 20 sex partners and no I don't do it for money or gifts.

I've had sex with a couple of people I didn't really know but I've never had sex with someone without knowing his name.

And I use a condom most of the times I have sex but not all of the times.

This actually does worry me because I don't wanna end up with some kind of std.

But I can't help it sometimes.

If you're engaging in behaviors that you can't control, then it's time to seek counseling.
