Default What is offensive?

This is more of a curiosity post than anything.

As a bisexual, I have found that there are many stereotypes and general insults that insult me that don't insult others and vice versa. I was wondering about how any of you fell, be you homosexual, heterosexual or bisexual.

One example is that I personally am just sick of the 'experimentation' stereotype surrounding bisexuals, that we aren't bisexual we just haven't decided.
Anyway, this extends to Katy Perry. Some bisexuals may be groaning around now. Anyway, her song 'I kissed a girl' reinforces this stereotype and yet is in the mainstream media. Ok, I know that some people might not find this offensive, I'm just saying my opinion. Any song with the lyrics (you're my experiment', 'not the way good girls should behave' etc in should not be considered inoffensive.
Anyway, I have been known to rant on for hours about this song. I just want to know what your opinions on these matters are.

Jasperky: I don't think that's a stereotype. I think songs of that nature are talking about people who are heterosexual yet experiment with same-sex activities. I don't think anyone is saying that you can't be bisexual.

The same way you've expressed your opinion on this forum is the same way an opinion was expressed in the song you mention. In reality, you are going to encounter a lot of opinions that you don't agree with.

As a straight man, I let it roll off my back when gay people make fun of straight people or make other comments. Sometimes, you've just got to be thick-skinned.
