Hi i'm mike, see i had a girlfriend for 5 months. i loved her. and then she dumped me ive liked two girls since then and had to move on because they didn't like me back. Now i think i've found the girl i want and i won't give up. i'm shy but i can get over that. she says i'm one in a million and things. but i know she doesn't like me. please Jen and Dan help me, i need her, i think i maybe in love. i'm so close to being the best friend. help me get out and get her to like me

I'm not trying to be a sarcastic, but have you asked her out? It sounds like you're worried about getting caught in the "friend zone." The way to avoid that is to make it clear it's a date.

Easier said then done, my advice (and I say this a lot) is ask her out to a cafe'. You can chat for a long or short time at a nice place over coffee. What girl will say no to coffee? If they have a great time then ask her out in a few days. Maybe at another cafe?
