BDSM Lifestyle...?

Ok, I am in a deep loving relationship, and near the beginning I asked about sexual pleasures, (what she likes, and what I like.) It turns out we both share a liking for bdsm, and bondage.

Well my question is; we have “normal” sex on the side, but we both tend to lean closer to the bdsm side of things. In fact I am building a house, and my GF asked me to build a hidden dungeon. I have not herd a lot about living bdsm, and if my house is going to be a dungeon... well I consider that living it. Can you help me get a better idea what I am getting in to?

I guess I want to know about what it is like living on your own, in a bdsm environment.

P.S. My family has no idea what we are in to, and I would like to keep it that way, (kind’a hard when you are walking around in public with a caller.) I am comfortable with all of this, but my family would... well... disown me to say the least. Is there a way I can get them to understand all of this? I tried to get my “mummy” to watch a movie, (I think it was "The Secretary") just to see what she thought of all this, and her comments went something like this... “What the #ell is wrong with them!?! That is #ucking sick! People who love each other don’t do that!”

First off since you are building a house, and i am assuming your square footing would be able handle the room required.
Need to know what exactly you are wanting for this room? What equipment will bb purchased for this room if any is required. Remember hardware and sporting store are a great source for any BDSM adventure.
It can be created and very easy to hide and entrance for you in this case. What you do behind your door belongs to you and your other half. The world does not need to know what you are doing with out your consent
Just take time view your house plan and see what is available for your pleasure room.

ya, thanks for the tips, but I have my shopping list all "DuN" (hardware stores mostly,) but I was really asking what the lifestyle is like. The more I think of it, nothing will really change, I mean, we live it now, so... it will be the same, only with more privacy than an apartment.
