Default Is this rebound

I met this man about 7 weeks ago, he lost his father 1 week before I meet him, broke up with his girlfriend of 12 years ( he has never been married) I just came out of a 16 year marriage (marriage over for about 7 years). We connected right way, we have so much fun together, we sing, dance, hold hands, shop together,2 days after meeting him he told me he was falling in love with me, introduced me to his friends and sister (only relative) and told them all I was his soul mate and he was going to marry me. We have lots of sex and we do spend time together. about 3 weeks ago he took back everything he said and told me we need to be friends and he wanted to date others, I have fallen pretty hard for him, he has made me feel like no other, I cant get him out of my mind and I want to be with him always. (He does not know this). His exgirlfriend and him have had sex in the last 7 weeks and he always tells me it's over between them, for some reason I'm ok with him having had sex with her. I set in my mind that we should have started out friends but it moved so fast. I care deeply for him and dont want to loose him.He tells me he has feeling for me but wants to slow down. how does he just turn off his feelings of love? I'm so confused,What should I do? His Ex always interfers.

Therein lies the problem. If he still can't get over his ex, he's not going to be devoted to you.
