Question about anal sex

My boyfriend and I have been together a solid 2 years, and have yet to have any real problems in our relationship. We have only done foreplay and have done anything and everything you could think of that goes along with that. We have been really faithful and are SURE we don't have any STDS or anything like that. He thinks that our first time of having sex, we should try anal. I'm pretty sure about that whole thing. See, I'm just wondering the chances of me getting pregnant, even though I have been using the Pill perfectly. I know everything has its' chances. We were actually thinking we were going to wait to have sex after we are married but we are a long way away from something like that.. Help? Anyone know how safe anal is and what are the chances?

Always use a condom while having anal sex.

If it hurts stop immediately so you don't tear anything down there. Use lots of lubricant. Take things slow becasue that is an out hole not an in hole. Communication is going to be key for having anal sex.

Do not go from back to front. If you switch it up that way change condoms.

For your first time having sex have a towel handy becasue there can be a mess if your hymen is still intact. You might bleed the first time wit VAGINAL sex. For ANAL you should never bleed if you do go see your doctor that would be very bad. You can get infected from an internal anus bleeding which can cause a lot of problems.

If you take it the way most people take it, missing one occasionally, the one-year pregnancy rate is 8 in 100.

It's good that you know that everything has a failure rate, including surgical sterilization, and I want to compliment you on being forward-thinking on this.
