hey, my girlfriend is starting on birthcontrol pills. and i was wondering how effective they are. like can me and my girlfriend have unprotected sex and not worry about pregnancy?
and if i "dicharge" while having sex with her, what are the chances (assuming thre are still chances of her getting pregnant) of her getting pregnant? thanks

Yes, she can get pregnant using birth control.

There is always a chance. Typical success rate is 92% you will not have a child.

She must take it for about a month before she will be fully protected. If she misses a pill it becomes less effective and the % rate drops.

I would recommend using a Condom and Birth Control, but you can do what you really want in the end. The Male Condom has a 85% success rate. So both of those would be a very effective method of not having a child.

Just remember this is life, and anything can happen.
