Default The power of free information

It's gotten to the point now where if there's anything, anything AT ALL that I want to learn about, whether it's a website, a movie, a book, a game, an informational topic, that I always go to one source:

Wikipedia.

However after doing a little searching I found NO pages or articles relating to Dan and Jennifer, this website, or the Sex Honesty movement.

Wikipedia is a website that's free for anyone to join and anyone can contribute. It's a global encyclopedia of information on every possible topic imaginable, from standard encyclopedic fare, to specific information regarding very definitive topics, as mentioned there's articles about websites, sexual theory, grassroots movements, any kind of popular culture medium, this site has it all.

A lot of people want to discredit using Wikipedia as a source of information because anyone can edit it, but while this is true, they don't look at the fundamental design of the site. There is a large community that acts not only as writers, but as editors, who go through pages and check to see that it fits the criteria required for it and that it remains unbiased and as factual as possible. Wikipedia articles are not made up off the top of someone's head they are based off other sources of factual information, either in books, or other websites, and they reference these sources in every article. So if you want to know whether or not something is accurate, check the reference, if the article doesn't appear to have any sources cited, it even tells you that it lacks citation for it's quotes.

The bottom line here that Wikipedia is a great and free way to spread information to a very large audience. I would strongly encourage someone who is familiar with the concept of writing Wiki Articles to make one for this site, it's founders, and other associated websites, contributors, and the important movements such as Sex Honesty. Free information never hurt anyone and I think having a clear and unbiased source of information easily accessible would benefit this site quite a great deal.

If I had the skills and knowledge myself I'd gladly step up to the plate, but hopefully I can at least get this idea in someone's head. I'll be checking the site and I hope to see some information regarding our great community, Thank You.
