Is Masturbating a sin for a christian/catholic?

Hey Dan and Jenn. Just for starters you video's are great. I have learned alot and you have answered some of my questions, so for that thank you.
Well I have a question for you now. and i would appreciate it if you didn't make a video for it and would just respond in a message like this. My question is as follows : Is Masturbating a sin for a christian/catholic? I know you have done some videos along those lines before but that question has had me pondering for a long time. If you would reply i would appreciate it. thank you

From what i hear yes it is a sin. Now to me i would leave that up you. If you feel good about yourself, do what you feel is right. Myself i would not pay any attention to what they say. Live your life not theres. Since i do not know your age and i am assuming your under 20. I am over 50 and yes i still masturbate. You have to learn that when someone said they do not masturbate 9 at of 10 time they are lieing.

I do think that its a moral preference, because I know some Catholics that confessed on deeming it sinful but still committing it. Just don't do it excessively to the point that you're hurting yourself, in public or until your eardrums pop.
