It's quite simple: it's the future ahead between the new couple that counts, not each individual's sexual past (unless, of course, one of the lovers happened to be of the opposite sex at one point in their lives, which in that case the dispute should be settled on Montell Williams' show).

I have an entirely unsubstantiated theory that those who have had "active" sexual pasts are less likely to cheat on their spouse than those who have barely seen a bare leg, let alone touch another being. Somt people will learn through many sexual experiences that sex with many is an often-risky path to take that has little reward - save for a "bragging right" that isn't even worth using. In the end, if the woman has had her fair share of lovers in the past, she will probably make for a knowledgeable bedroom partner. Same goes for the Gentleman in question.

Once again: it's what ahead that counts, not what's happened years before.
