I'll wander up to a cute girl and ask her, "Excuse me, but do you know where the hot ladies romance novels are?" Sets fun and sexy frame immediately, and might even get them blushing. I've even done this to a girl while she was IN the romance section. Reaction is priceless. From there you can say, "haha, I just wanted to meet you," and then introduce yourself and drop into normal conversation.
