Cool article! Well-written and most of it is so true :-) especially how the dating game has a hell of a lot to do with persuasion: in essence, you're "selling yourself" where the "buyer" is a woman.

Thinking along those lines? There are suddenly all kinds of otherwise marketing-related terms that suddenly apply to dating. Here are several of them that I use for whenever I give dating advice to my students (I'm a dating caoch):

1) Talk to the dog, in the language of the dog, about what's in the heart of the dog.

Old copywriting saying. I'm not comparing women to dogs here, but what I AM saying is this: if you want to "get the girl" you need to talk about and attract her with what's important to her and her alone. Woman want a man with a genuine interest in them, not a guy who's doing a "random pick up".

Translation: humor works, yes, but the best way possible to use it is by teasing a woman about HER specific hobbies, interestes, and so on...

2) You have to talk about the meat to the dog

Another copywriting saying. And this one's simple: most men talk about the weather, work, or other pretty superficial stuff with women and yes... women love gossip... but the best way to connect with ANY human is by going deep and not wide.

Translation: it's better to talk about one topic with her and go all the way, have discussions, tease her about it, disapprove some of her opinions, ask follow-up questions about it etc. than asking witty questions about 3 million topics.

Why?

The winner is the one a woman feels most comfortable, safe, and trustworthy around at the end of the day. YES attraction matters, but women WON'T take the next step with you if you're not "safe" or making them feel comfortable.

Here's one to think about for yourself: the 4 Ps (price, place, product, promotion). Do they apply to dating? I think you subconsciously know the answer...

To More Dating Success,

Dennis Miedema
Win With Women
