Be careful though with shaving in this respect as growing back, it may be itchy and any sweat can cause extreme discomfort. If this happens to a completely shaven man, baby powder can help alleviate it. Best bet is to give his groin a nice trim, fairly close to the skin.
• Less hassle – although the trimming and shaving will take some effort, it is well worth it. Think, no pubic hairs caught in the zipper! Also, letting him know that being trimmed or shaven will make fellatio more enjoyable for you and you’ll be more likely to do it more often – this alone can make him ready to get out the trimmers!

What Is Your Personal Preference?

Tools For The Job

To start, using a straight blade, a dull razor or just trying to shave quickly with soap and water (or worse, dry!) is going to give you less than good results. How To Shave Your Genitals

1. First, trim your pubic hair first, especially if it is long and curly. Shaving directly over the longer hair will only get hair stuck in your razor and you’re not going to get very much of the hair off.
2. Next, take a shower or bath to let the warm water loosen the hair follicles. It will make shaving a lot easier and give you a much closer shave.
3. When preparing to shave each area of your genitals, pull the skin tight. Loose skin will easily catch in a safety razor, resulting in nicks and cuts that you definitely don’t want. Pulling your skin tight will also help you get a closer shave.
4. When shaving the base of the penis shaft, start at the top of the hairline and move down towards the base of the penis.
5. Shave your scrotum last, again pulling the skin nice and tight to avoid nicks and cuts.
6. After your shave, use a good aftershave splash or moisturizing lotion to keep your smooth shave and to prevent red bumps and razor burn afterwards.

Just A Trim

Another option for grooming your pubic hair is simply giving yourself a close trim, especially if you’re nervous about shaving it all off right away. Trimming is a lot easier than shaving, but will leave you with a “buzz cut” of sorts down there. When you prepare for shaving, trim your entire pubic region and see how you like it. You may prefer a trim to a close shave. You can always shave it off if you decide you want baby smooth skin instead. Some guys develop ingrown hairs after shaving – if you’re one of those guys, a trim might be just the ticket.

Some men simply cannot grow hair on their chests.  Some men are `somewhat carpeted `when it comes to their layer of fur. And other men are somewhere in between.

Thing is, if a man is incredibly hairy, that can definitely be a turn off for some.  Here`s the good news, a hairy chest can be MAINTAINED or in some cases `tamed `might be a better choice of words. 

The option of waxing may seem excruciating to some (completely warranted in my opinion) but it IS one option.  I would suggest, if you are growing an out of control layer of hair, that you first attempt to trim it or depending on how thick it is, possibly shave it down with an electric shaver. 

Don`t get caught up in the ‘ìt will grow back thicker’ train of thought.  This is about maintaining the abundance of hair, so yeah, hopefully you`ll continue the up-keep and reap the benefits too! 

Now, you don`t have to go all out with this and shed your body of all visible hair.  Sometimes it just takes a bit of upkeep to avoid looking like you came from the 70`s era.  Sometimes the odd minor trim job is all that`s required. 

Now, if you are a single guy, and a hairy one, I highly recommend venturing into the `not so hairy`zone.  I can`t say I would like to get to the point of stripping a man down and find an overwhelmingly hairy chest under his shirt. 

However, I am but just one woman. Although, my girlfriends all feel the same way on this topic, so consider this to be a good base of opinion.

Find Out What Your Partner Prefers

If you are coupled up then simply ask your woman what she prefers. I view it in the same light as a woman who has never shaved between her legs or her bikini line. Why not try it. You just might like it, as may your partner, which is a bonus all around!

My personal preference is a man with a `sprinkling’ of chest hair.  Just enough to say that he IS a man, and that I AM under, or on top of one (wink!).  For me, back hair and thick arm hair is a turn off.  Been there, done that and NOT going that route again. 

It`s the same advice I`d give regarding a woman`s bikini line, trim it up, shave it down. Give it a try. Your partner may LOVE it and hey, you can always grow it back if grooming isn`t for you!
